In accordance with the Michigan Mental Health Code, the Community Mental Health Services Board is appointed by the Lapeer County Board of Commissioners. Board members serve three-year terms beginning on April 1; the terms expiration dates are staggered with four persons' terms expiring each year. Currently the following persons serve on the Lapeer County Community Mental Health Services Board: Back row, left to right: Ms. Jean Bonior, Ms. Phyllis Holbrook-(past member), Mr. Gerald Oakes-(past member and Board Chair), Ms. Lori Curtiss- secretary, Ms. Helen Mitchell, Mr. Tim Brown-Vice Chair.  Our Board of Directors meet, and public is invited, on the last Thursday of every month unless otherwise posted at Lapeer CMH or the county complex.
