FOR PERSONS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS

"HARMONY HALL"

 Alice Stoelzl-Fiebelkorn, M.A.,

Program Supervisor

Offered to provide services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program (PSR) services are delivered according to individual member needs. The program staff meets the professional standards of Medicaid and the State of Michigan. Interdisciplinary diagnostic and evaluation services are included in the program. Member goals and objectives are based on individual plans of service determined in a Person-Centered Planning process. Program is available Mondays through Fridays; individual member schedules may vary.

Activities provided within the PSR ordered day are directed toward maximizing member skills in areas such as independent living, self-care, interpersonal relations and problem solving; within a supportive environment. Members, case managers and program staff actively participate in developing goals and objectives within the environment of the PSR that can translate to the member's general life.

Within the ordered day, the PSR activities consist of three primary units: maintenance, clerical and kitchen. Socialization opportunities and group outings are also incorporated in to the program schedule. As the program develops, vocational issues will become an integral part of the format. Psychiatric and case management services as well as coordination with other mental health treatment services are also provided. Inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, crisis intervention, and psychiatric medication reviews are included in the services provided through the Lapeer County Community Mental Health Center.
