PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Board of Commissioners the Finance Department is responsible for overseeing the accounting functions of all the departments of the County. The primary functions of the department include payroll processing, accounts payable, general ledger and maintaining the fixed asset listing.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: To manage and maintain financial records according to legal and reporting requirements. Process disbursements of funds according to county policies and procedures. Improvement of the budgeting and financial reporting systems, with future qualification for the GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and the GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award.
