County Surveyor

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

To protect, perpetuate and replace government corners installed between 1815 and 1834 in Lapeer County. These corners control the position of all property ownership’s. Funding for this program comes through grants provided annually by Act 345, 1990.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

To re-construct government corner network, obtain state plane coordinate values for each position. This data will become the basis for a high accuracy GIS/LIS system.
