Lapeer County Information Depot

Sponsor a Recycling Collection!
Do you belong to a organization or small business that would like to get your group's message out while helping save resources at the same time?  Then call the Recycling Office now to sign up to volunteer at any of our 2002 recycling collections.  Volunteers should be 13 or older and in groups of 5-10 people.  While in an effort to create less waste, you will NOT be permited to distribute any materials to each resident/car, you are encouraged to wear your group's uniform, hat, or T-shirts that say's who you are as well hang a banner or flag that lets our participants know your contact information. There are many different opportunities to become involved in the resource recovery programs in Lapeer County. Volunteers play a vital role in keeping these programs going and helping them to grow!  Following are a few examples of opportunities that you or an organization you are involved with may be interested in volunteering for: 

 
· Staffing the recycling/composting booth at a 
  community event.

· Classroom presentations. 
  (training & materials provided)

· Presentations to clubs or organizations. 
  (training & materials provided)

· Providing assistance to offices or schools who 
  want to start a recycling program. 
  (training provided)

· Newsletter production and mailings. 

Merry Mulch Christmas Tree Recycling Program

· Advertising/program promotion.

· Helping to staffing a drop-off site in your area. 

Spring Special Recycling Collections:

· Advertising/program promotion.

· Helping to staff the event 

Compost Bin Distribution Program

· Advertising/program promotion.

· Helping to staff the distribution day 
  (located in Lapeer).
