Foreclosure and Land Auction
On April 1, 2009
Lapeer County foreclosed seventeen (17) properties with unpaid 2006 taxes.
There is no redemption period. PREVIOUS OWNERS CANNOT GET THEM BACK.
FORECLOSURE IS FINAL. Foreclosed properties are offered first to the
State of Michigan, then to the local units and then to Lapeer County & Lapeer County
Land Bank.
Properties not purchased by governmental entities will be sold at public
auction. The next auction for the remaining parcels will be October 28th, 2009 in the Historic
Courthouse in downtown Lapeer. Bidding will start at $1.00 plus a
$10.00 recording fee for each parcel.
