Uploading the Modified Page with AOL Press
-
Make sure that you are connected to the internet before proceding.
-
Open the page you want to upload using AOL Press.
-
Once all of your changes have been made and you are sure that you are ready
to upload the page then click on File then Save As
-
Now you must change the location that you wish to save the document to.
-
Under the Drives/Sites: box change this to the ftp site directory
you set up on the computer.
-
(if you have not set up this directory refer to Setting up FTP site
directory)
-
Notice that the site under the Page Location: box has been altered
to the directory that you have access to on the server.
-
Make sure that you are in the correct directory. If you want your page to
be saved into a sub-directory you can double-click on that sub-directory
in the larger box under the Directories: box. Note: if you do not
have any sub-directories the larger box will be empty. You can create a
sub-directory if you wish by pressing the Create Dir... button. Be
sure that all of your links on the page you created will still work if you
place it in a sub-directory.
-
Now click OK and you are finished.
-
It is a good idea to always go to the page and see that it can be opened
and all the links you created on the page work as well. To do this, open
Internet Explorer and go to your new page.
